why leadership?

why leadership

the problem

Deep-rooted generational problems—tribalism, conflict, poverty, corruption, and disease—due to limited and poor leadership, are putting the future of Africa at stake.

For decades, donors have been supporting various causes in Africa, but they have yet to see real transformation. Traditional programs of “helping” Africa just aren’t working.

It is estimated that:

  • 30% of the world’s natural resources are in Africa
  • By 2030, young Africans are expected to make up 42% of the world’s youth, accounting for 75% of those under the age of 35.
Africa deserves to be recognized for its potential, not its problems.

the solution

The problems are complex, but the solution is simple: invest in Africans to solve African problems. This takes a different, long-term approach based on people, not projects.

We are addressing the root cause of these problems by building up Christ-centered leaders in Africa to transform their communities and countries spiritually, socially, and economically for generations to come—raising up leaders at every level.

We call these leaders “Discipled Nation Builders”.

A Discipled Nation Builder is someone who knows and lives a Jesus-first life, who puts others before themselves, and is in the relentless pursuit of living out their purpose, passion, and calling to make generational change.

We invest in these Discipled Nation Builders through our LEAD Model—a 10+ year program focused on Leadership development, Entrepreneurship (problem-solving), Academics, and Discipleship.

Through your partnership, these Discipled Nation Builders will go on to lead strong families, flourishing businesses, servant governments, and healthy churches that will in turn produce more Discipled Nation Builders.
